The Smartphone Industry in India is changing drastically. Companies are releasing budget oriented phones with flagship features and people are loving it. According to recent surveys, Chinese tech giants such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo hold a major share in the Indian market. Xiaomi has alone sold over 12 million units last quarter showing a growth over 32% on yearly basis. We are not even half way through this year and 2019 has already shown us lot of innovations. One of the major innovations can be seen in the recently launched Oneplus 7 and 7 Pro. Oneplus launched its first product in April 2014 in the form of OnePlus One. It was powered by Snapdragon 801 and had an amazing specification at a price of Rs.19999. At that time Oneplus changed the market drastically and was called The Flagship Killer. People were so amazed by Oneplus, but recently the price of the latest phone Oneplus 7 Pro has gone as high as Rs. 53000, which disappointed some of their consumers. Xiaomi has been waiting for this moment for a long time and here they come with their real flagship killer ‘REDMI K20 PRO’, Packing all  the flagship features at such a low price point  it has won many hearts already. Some of the specifications are mentioned in the box -:

Running on MIUI 10 based on latest Android 9.0, it gives user a very pleasant experience and a full package. This a good opportunity for Xiaomi to steal ‘The Flagship Killer’ Title and they are calling this phone  ‘The Real Flagship Killer’ and Why Wouldn’t they?

In-Depth Review

With Snapdragon 855 SoC the phone would be blazing fast and it will handle anything that you throw at it with ease as it is based on the latest 7nm technology and is a Octa Core processor with Cortex A76 and Cortex A55. It scores around 388803 on Antutu Benchmark which is around 99% faster than all the smart phones. It is also packed with a super-amoled 6.39 inch screen, As we know that the colours on a super amoled are very vibrant and pleasing. The Cameras are also very interesting part of this phone, Like the Oneplus 7 Pro, Xiaomi has also gone with a motorized pop-up front camera. On the rear it has a triple camera setup with a wide, telephoto and ultra-wide lens for different scenarios. 4k Video is also supported @30FPS and 60FPS. The company has also gone with a corning gorilla glass 5 protection on the glass for scratch resistance and fingerprint free screen.

Why should we go for Redmi K20 PRO instead of Oneplus 7 Pro

As a rational consumer, consumers in India will choose a budget friendly phone with flagship features. Redmi K20 Pro comes with all the features that Oneplus 7 Pro has and It is expected to release at around June, 2019 in India at a price tag of around Rs.25000-30000 which is more pocket friendly. So, if you’re getting a full feature packed phone in such a low price why leave it?

Xiaomi has done it before at the time of the release of Oneplus 6. It released a sub-brand named POCO and provided a flagship phone POCO F1 at just around Rs.20000. People loved it at that time and it would be interesting to see How Xiaomi releases this phone when the competition is so strong.
