Winter session of Parliament: Know which important bills introduced and passed

The Winter Session of Parliament started on December 7 and was originally scheduled to end on December 29. But it concluded on December 23, as several Opposition leaders had urged the government and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to end the session early, citing Christmas and New Year festivities.

In this session nine bills were introduced and sex were passed by Lok Sabha and three were passed by both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. The nine bills introduced were Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2022 by Commerce and Industry Ministry, The Repealing and Amending Bill, 2022 by Law and Justice Ministry, The Appropriation (No.4) Bill, 2022 by Finance Ministry, The Appropriation (No.5) Bill, 2022 by Finance Ministry, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Second Amendment) Bill, 2022 by Tribal Affairs Ministry, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Third Amendment) Bill, 2022 by Tribal Affairs Ministry, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2022 by Tribal Affairs Ministry, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2022 by Tribal Affairs Ministry, and The Multi-State Cooperative Societies Bill, 2022 by Cooperation Ministry.

The six bills passed by the Lok Sabha are The Appropriation (No.4) Bill, 2022, The Appropriation (No.5) Bill, 2022, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Second Amendment) Bill, 2022, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Third Amendment) Bill, 2022, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2022, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2022.

The three bills passed by both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha are The Appropriation (No.4) Bill, 2022, The Appropriation (No.5) Bill, 2022, and The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Second Amendment) Bill, 2022
