Why religious leaders got angry with statement of Maulana Arshad Madani
On the last day of the session of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, there was a lot of ruckus on the statement of Maulana Arshad Madani. Madani was replying to the statement of the RSS chief, in which he had said – Hindus and Muslims have the same ancestors. Madni said- Your forefathers were not Hindus, they were Manu i.e. Adam. In protest against his statement, different religious leaders who reached the session left the stage.
On the last day of the 34th session of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, Maulana Madani said – I asked when no one was there. There was neither Shriram, nor Brahma, nor Shiva; When no one was there, whom did Manu worship? Some say that they used to worship Shiva. Very few people tell that Manu used to worship Om. Who is Om? Many people said that he has no form or colour. They are everywhere in the world. Arey Baba, we call this one Allah. You call him God.
Jain Muni Lokesh opposed the statement of Maulana Madni. He said that this convention is being held to connect people. To what extent is such a statement justified? Muni Lokesh said this on the stage. After this he got up from the programme and left. After him, saints of other religions also left the programme.
Maulana Madani said, ‘Hazrat Adam, who was the prophet, was the first to descend on the soil of India. If He wanted, He would have landed Adam in Africa, Arabia, Russia. They also know, we also know that the land of India was chosen to bring Adam into the world.
Madani said – I asked the big religious leaders that whom did the first man, whom Allah sent down on the earth, worship. There was only Adam inside the world, what should he be called? People used to say different things. The religious leaders said that we call him Manu, we call him Aadam, the English speaking people call him Adam. We call the children of Adam a man and they call the children of Manu human.
According to reports, Madani said in the programme that Muslims would not accept insulting the Prophet. Statements should not be made against Mohammad Saheb. Right now education is being saffronised in India and this is not fair. Books of other religions should not be imposed. This is against the Constitution.
