UP CM Yogi Adityanath directs officials to double Covid beds in Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the concerned officials to double the L2 and L3 category Covid beds in Lucknow City. The State capital is now the hotspot of Corona infection having the highest number of active Covid cases. It also has the highest number of new patients. The city witnessed 475 new cases of covid infection yesterday.

Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath had a meeting with senior officers yesterday evening on the covid situation of state capital Lucknow. He reviewed the availability of ICU and HDU beds in L2 and L3 level covid hospitals of the city. He ordered to double the number of such beds in all the important Covid hospitals in Lucknow.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to providing health facilities to the people of the state. Lucknow is currently having 6895 active Covid cases.

Meanwhile, the state government has said that during the last few weeks, because of increased testing and resultant rise in the number of positive patients, the state is also witnessing a rise in death cases but still the case fatality rate remains around just 0.6% in the month of Aug.
