Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launches 240 kilometre long National Highway projects worth over Rs 9 thousand cr in UP

Union minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stone of National Highway projects of 240 Km worth 9,119 crore rupees in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gadkari said with the new national highways will help the sugarcane farmers to easily transport their agriculture products to sugar mills and markets.

The minister also emphasized on welfare of farmers by leveraging technology and research for economic prosperity.

He stressed on the importance of Ethanol, Hydrogen and other bio-fuels for overall progress, self-sufficiency and sustainable development. Mr Gadkari said these infrastructure projects will also open new income avenues for the people in the area.

The minister further said with the development of a new network of National Highways, Uttar Pradesh is now developing as an ‘Express State’.
