Union Budget 2023: Government can get ₹ 48000 crore dividend from RBI and public sector banks

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made several big announcements in the budget speech covering all sectors from general to special. During this, she has also given an estimate of the dividend received from RBI and public sector banks. Under this, the government is expecting a dividend of Rs 48,000 crore. It is noteworthy that the government has a major stake in government companies, in such a situation, when government companies declare dividends, the shareholders get the benefit of it.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also gave the details of total receipts and total expenditure in FY2023-24. Under this, the total expenditure is estimated to be Rs 45 lakh crore. While the total receipt has been estimated to be Rs 27.2 lakh crore. Apart from this, the fiscal deficit is estimated to be 5.9% of GDP.

The Finance Minister presented her fifth budget today. During the budget speech, the Finance Minister called it the budget of Amritkal and mentioned 7 priorities. These priorities are inclusive growth, preference for the underprivileged, infrastructure and investment, unlocking potential, green growth, youth and the financial sector.

During her budget speech, the Finance Minister also said a lot about DigiLocker. Regarding this, it has been said that the store base will be valid in this. The usage of DigiLocker will also be increased. Use of DigiLocker app will increase and Nirmala Sithraman made it clear that Aadhaar will be accepted as an identity proof in DigiLocker.

For this, the National Center of Intelligence will be formed. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced regarding 5G research as well. In October last year, 5G service was introduced in the country. The Finance Minister announced plans to make 100 labs in engineering colleges for research on 5G.
