Union Budget 2022 evokes mixed reaction from opposition

ongress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram criticized the Union Budget saying that it focuses more on future rather than the present. Briefing media in New Delhi, Mr. Chidambaram said, Cryptocurrency is not beneficial to 99.99 percent of people of the country.

On the contrary, another senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor termed the government’s proposal on digital currency as a reasonable proposition. Talking to media outside Parliament, Mr. Tharoor said, it was very clear that as far as digital currency is concerned, Government was heading in that direction.

Senior advisor for Indian Bank Association, IBA Bikash Narayan Mishra has appreciated the budget saying this budget will benefit rural India. Taking to AIR NEWS, Mr. Mishra said that rural sector will be benefited with the connection of one lakh fifty thousand post offices to core banking.
