Uday India Knowledge Tree Mega Blood Donation Camp Serving Humanity
Blood donation is one of the noblest and greatest donations a man can make. Against this ackdrop, a not-for-profit organisation, Uday India Knowledge Tree organised a mega blood donation camp at 1, Motilal Marg, New Delhi on August 20, 2016. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the lood donation camp. This camp was dedicated to the Indian soldiers, who make the ultimate sacrifice and safeguard the country from enemies and calamities.
While speaking on the occasion, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, “In a country like India, where several people suffer due to lack of availability of blood, such initiatives help in saving thousands of lives. Deepak Kumar Rath, Uday India Group Editor, performed a fabulous job by holding this camp so as to help the needy in the society. We should all come forward and donate blood if we are able-bodied because this one simple action would speak for itself about our gentleness, fellow-feelings, kindness and love for humanity. God has created life in this world, by donating blood to those in need of blood, we save God’s children. Hence, by serving the human, we serve God.”
Jual Oram, Union Tribal Affairs Minister, also attended the programme and said that earlier people had a fear that blood-donation would weaken their body-strength and hamper their natural immunity. Now-a-days people have a scientific bent of mind. Once they are made aware of the fact that the amount of blood taken out from their body is minimal and easily replenished, they can easily let their fears go off.
BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said that people should understand that their little contribution can prove to be of great help to others. 15 spiritual gurus of different religions attended the camp and gave the message of compassion and service, which will remain as an “inspiration” for all. People from all walks of life donated 1700 units of blood, which was collected by eight different blood banks like Rotary Club, Red Cross, AIIMS, LNJP etc. Many clubs, societies, offices, organisations joined blood donation camp. Private security guards from across the National Capital Region also came to the camp and donated blood. Delhi Police’s support was highly appreciated. After donating blood, a Bhojpuri singer-cum-actor, Viccky Baidyanath delightedly said that he acts as a hero in albums, movies but today he is feeling like a real life hero. Nowhere one will get such kind of happiness in the world. Notable singer Gulam Abbas Khan and his group sang patriotic songs. Thousands enjoyed the musical performance. The message conveyed through his music filled the environment with patriotic zeal.
The blood donation camp was a healthy gesture. We must support this initiative at any cost. For, our blood banks are running short of required blood. By organizing such blood donation camps we may help them enrich their capacity.
