RJD’s Yuvraj and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, who lost power and Nitish Kumar’s support in 2017 after the Lalu Yadav family got embroiled in the Land for Jobs case, seems to be in trouble after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids. The atmosphere is becoming like 2017 and it will be interesting to see whether Nitish Kumar bats strongly for them this time or sets new fielding for JDU. Tejashwi Yadav seems to be badly trapped by the ED raid as his house raided in Delhi is registered in the name of a company accused of land for job scam.

On Friday, Tejashwi Yadav’s house as well as houses of Lalu Yadav’s three daughters Ragini Yadav, Chanda Yadav and Hema Yadav were also raided. According to ED sources, action has taken place at 24 places in Delhi-NCR, Bihar and Jharkhand, including Abu Dujana, a close aide of Lalu in Patna. In this case, the CBI had questioned Rabri Devi in Patna on Monday and Lalu Yadav in Delhi on Tuesday. A Delhi court has also ordered Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti to appear in this case on March 15.

Officials associated with the ED raid told a newspaper that Tejashwi Yadav was present during the raid at the house, raided in Delhi’s New Friends Colony area. ED sources say that this house of Tejashwi Yadav is registered in the name of a company named AK Infosystems Private Limited, which is an accused in the land for job scam. It is alleged that a person who got a job in the railways had sold 9527 square feet of land to this company for Rs 10.83 lakh, which was acquired by Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti in 2014. Tejashwi’s Delhi house is registered in the name of this company. According to the allegation, Rabri Devi has been the owner of this company since 2014 after acquiring the company.

An ED official said on the condition of anonymity that it has become clear that Tejashwi Yadav or Lalu Yadav’s family is using a house registered in the name of a scam company. This official said that ED’s investigation revealed that four pieces of land were sold to Meridian Construction, owned by former RJD MLA Abu Dojana, whose house was raided in Patna today.

The ED has recovered Rs 70 lakh in cash, over 2 kg of gold and USD 900 notes from the premises of Lalu’s daughters and Tejashwi Yadav in Friday’s raids.
