Team Yogi touring abroad is getting huge investment offers from all over the world. Investors from countries like Belgium, UAE, Canada and America are offering investment in India in many sectors including logistics and cargo, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, renewable energy. Through these investment proposals, lakhs of new employment opportunities will be created in Uttar Pradesh.
In Belgium, the efforts of the delegation led by Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Public Works (PWD) Minister Jitin Prasad paid off and an MoU worth Rs 200 crore was signed with Gemini Corporation. The Industrial Development Minister himself shared this information by tweeting it. The company will set up a 300 tonne plastic recycling plant per day in Varanasi at a cost of Rs 200 crores. On this occasion, the directors of Gemini Corporation Ved Prakash Lata, Vishnu Aggarwal, Pawan Birla, Vivek Begwani were present.
IKEA’s Global Expansion Head Jan Christensen expressed his desire to invest Rs 4,000 crore. With this investment, the company will open retail stores and luxury malls in Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, apart from the unit going to be set up in Noida, the future investment plans of the company were discussed. Earlier, the delegation held talks with the Secretary General of Flanders, Julie Benens Semilla, and talked about the investment of Belgian businesses in the state.
The UAE delegation led by MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan has received 25 letters of intent worth Rs 20,340 crore. Through this investment, 27 thousand new employment opportunities will be created in the state. The delegation also met the representatives of DP World. Representatives of DP World agreed to invest in a joint venture in the field of logistics and cargo in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, they also shared with the delegation the need for land near Kanpur with highway and railway connectivity. Under the joint venture, 2 thousand acres of land will be required.
The delegation led by Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh met Hilmi Qureshi, Chief Mentor and Co-Founder of JMQ Global in Montreal to attract Canadian investors. Investment possibilities and plans were also discussed during the round table meeting. Hilmi Qureshi expressed willingness to invest in Health Technology.
In Vancouver, the delegation met several investors including Pankaj Agarwal, Founder and MD, Optimus Information Inc. They discussed partnership in Data Center, Healthcare, Food Processing, IT, Defense and Aerospace. Meanwhile, an MoU was also signed between Invest UP and Canada India Global Forum on promotion of GIS 2023. Similarly, an MoU was also signed with Indo Canada Ottawa Business Chamber.
