T20 World Cup: Afghanistan thrash Scotland by 130 runs in their debut match

In Cricket, Afghanistan thrashed Scotland by 130 runs in their debut match of the T20 World Cup in Sharjah last night. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Afghanistan posted a score of 190 runs for four wickets, with the help of Najibullah Zadran’s 59 and Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 46 runs.

For Scotland, Safyaan Sharif picked up two wickets.

In reply, Scotland were bundled out at 60 in 10.2 overs by Afghan bowlers Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan, who scalped five and four wickets respectively.

Today, South Africa will take on West Indies at 3:30 pm in Dubai, while Pakistan will play against New Zealand at 7:30 pm at Sharjah.
