Android Wear 2.0 Brings Support for Google Play, Android Pay and Google Assistant
Google launched its Android Wear 2.0 OS. For launching this big update, the tech giant has partnered with LG to introduce two flagship smart watches that run on Android Wear 2.0 out of the box. The Android Wear 2.0 update brings a host of improvements like improved interface, customised watch faces, Google Assistant and Android Pay Support, on-watch Google Play Store. MIT Develops Smartwatch App That Detects Emotions Using a Variety of Signals
MIT researchers have developed new smartwatch software that understands the tone of a conversation, and can tell you if the person is happy, sad, or neutral based on their speech patterns and vitals. The researchers demoed this feature on a Samsung Simband research-friendly wearable, hinting at how future devices could serve as ‘social coaches’ for people with anxiety or Asperger’s syndrome.

Samsung Gear 2 is a sleek and trendy smartwatch with a stainless steel body and a sporty band. It runs Tizen OS and seamlessly connects to your phone and keeps track of how healthy your lifestyle is. It is the first smartwatch by Samsung that comes in a circular design. It features a 1.2 inch circular Super AMOLED touch display with a screen resolution of 360×360 pixels and a pixel density of 302ppi. The device comes with a 1 Ghz dual core Exynos 3250 processor, 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal memory. It is compatible with all Samsung Galaxy smartphones with Android 4.4 and 1.5GB RAM or higher. It is also compatible with limited functionality with other Android handsets that are Android 4.4 with 1.5GB RAM or higher.
Elago W3 Apple Watch
The Elago W3 Apple Watch stand is a smartwatch stand that makes your Apple Watch look like a miniature Macintosh computer. The $15 smartwatch stand is shaped like a Macintosh computer with a circular hole that holds and charges the Apple Watch. Sliding the Apple Watch into the hole will turn the screen into the tiny monitor’s display. The stand can hold both 38mm and 42mm straps can be tied around the back or you can choose to remove the straps and simply place the body inside.
