Section 144 imposed in Lucknow till Dec 1 due to rising COVID cases
In Uttar Pradesh, Section 144 has been imposed in Lucknow in view of the rising corona cases. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to further intensify Covid testing and the ratio of Antigen and RT-PCR tests should be 60:40. AIR correspondent reports, the prohibitory order imposed in Lucknow will remain in force till December 1. This has been done in view of rising cases of COVID-19 infections in the state capital. No new event will be allowed in Lucknow without prior permission from the district authorities.
Meanwhile the state Government conducted more than one lakh 78 thousand covid tests yesterday which is the highest till date. Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that instructions have been issued to all districts to intensify surveillance and focused testing after mapping of the highly affected areas.
With 2318 new cases, the state currently has 25876 active COVID patients. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also asked to improve the recovery rate of Lucknow, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Meerut and Ghaziabad districts.
