Salman’s Jai Ho Sets A New Record
Bollywood’s Dabangg Khan has set a new record with his upcoming 2014 project Jai Ho. According to a website report, Jai Ho has been bought by Eros International for Rs. 1.1 billion (Rs 110 crore) for distribution in Indian and overseas market. Jai Ho is being made under Sohail Khan Productions and stars Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Tabu and Mukul Dev along with Salman Khan. Jai Ho is the remake of south blockbuster Stalin of superstar Chiranjeevi.
Sonam Kapoor To Buy Shares In Sister’s Company
New generation actors are more professional in their approach to the family ventures than their elders. Anil Kapoor allowed his older brother Boney Kapoor to manage his affairs for a major part of his super stardom days. However, his daughters Sonam and Rhea are different in their approach. It is learnt that Sonam is looking to buy equity in her sister Rhea’s production company. She believes in the kind of cinema her sister produces. If all goes well, then Sonam will be yet another actor-producer in the long list of GenNow actor turned producers.
Mr. And Mrs. Tapori For Karan Johar
Sources from the film industry indicated that Karan Johar has registered Mr. and Mrs. Tapori as title for his next flick with Ranbir Kapoor. He was in New York recently scripting for the film. While he says he is still working on the final cast of the film, indications are there that Parineeti Chopra may play the female lead.
BIG B Shows Support For Sanjay Dutt
Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing himself, i.e. Big B in a film produced by actor Snajay Dutt’s production house as a goodwill gesture. He was seen shooting for the short sequence in a picture, which he posted on his blog. In the picture he is seen dancing to the tune of a dhol amidst a huge crowd.”That’s the day for me at a shoot for a small appearance in a film being made by Sanjay…a gesture to be alongside him in his hour of trying times,” Bachchan posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com recently. “Despite all the discomfort of the body … when the camera rolls, the body rolls too … I have just sufficient time to do just this for today … but hopefully more will follow soon,”he wrote. Sanjay is currently in Yervada jail serving a jail sentence for involvement in 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts.
Anurag Kashyap Manages Casting Coup
After getting Amitabh Bachchan to play a construction magnet for his TV show, Anurag Kashyap has managed another casting coup. He has signed Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kay Kay Menon for his project. The headline-grabbing cast also includes Tigmanshu Dhulia who has worked with Kashyap in Gang’s of Wasseypur. Sonakshi Shoots With Brother Kush
Sonakshi Sinha shot an ad with her brother Kush recently. While Sonakshi added glamour to the ad, Kush remained behind the camera. The brother-sister duo didn’t share screen space. French director Didier Kerbat was in for surprise, when he introduced Kush to Sonakshi as his assistant. Even after the relationship was revealed to the director, the equation didn’t change at the sets. Both worked like true professionals and completed the shoot. Kush has already assisted Abhinav Kashyap in Dabangg and Besharam and is ready to venture into direction with his home production.
