Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh has stressed the need for using advanced technologies to upgrade road connectivity across the country. He said, road and digital connectivity will definitely play a key role in the progress of the country.
Speaking after inaugurating the International Conference on New Technologies and Innovations in Rural Roads in New Delhi today, Mr Singh said, innovation, and technology in rural road development will help achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment of net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
AIR Correspondent reports that several experts and key stakeholders will deliberate on the challenges and solutions in the rural road development in the country during this three-day conference.
The focus of the discussion will be on green and cost-effective technologies in rural road construction.
Ministers of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Faggan Singh Kulaste were also present at the conference.
