Over 161.16 crore doses of COVID vaccines administered so far; India reports 3.37 lakh new Covid cases, recovery rate stands at 93.31 percent

Union Health Ministry today said that over 161 crore 16 lakh doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. The Ministry said, more than 67 lakh 49 thousand Covid vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours to the beneficiaries.

The country reported over three lakh 37 thousand new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is 21 lakh 13 thousand. The Union Health Ministry said, more than two lakh 42 thousand Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 93.31 percent. More than three crore 63 lakh patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 10 thousand 50 cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been reported so far in the country. The Ministry said, over 71 crore 34 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far. More than 19 lakh 60 thousand Covid test have been conducted in the last 24 hour.
