NIA in action against terror funding; Raided 70 locations in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has once again come into action regarding the gangster terror funding cases. This time the NIA team has raided more than 70 locations, which include Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. This raid has taken place at the hideout of the gangster and his close ones regarding terror funding.
This raid of NIA is being done simultaneously at all places. According to NIA sources, during the interrogation of six gangsters, the names of many more gangsters came to the fore. The NIA is conducting raids at the houses of the questioned gangsters and other locations linked to them and their associates. Following are the places of raids.
Gujarat- NIA has also raided Lawrence Bishnoi’s accomplice Kulwinder in Gandhidham. Kulwinder has been associated with Bishnoi for a long time. Earlier also his name had come up in the case of giving shelter to the people of Bishnoi gang. Kulwinder is also associated with the international drug syndicate.
Pilibhit: Quoting sources, news has come out that a raid has been conducted at the hideout of a person named Dilbhag Singh in Pilibhit. The NIA team reached here at 5 in the morning. The team had two vehicles with Delhi and two locker numbers. Dilbhag is a resident of Punjab. The team was present here for about an hour.
Pratapgarh- The Central Investigation Agency NIA raided Pratapgarh as well. According to sources, the NIA team had reached the Nagar Kotwali area last night. NIA raided Gode village of Nagar Kotwali. However, the team had to return from the village after raiding the wrong address. However, the presence of the NIA team is still being reported in Pratapgarh.
Haryana- In Narnaul, the NIA raided the hideouts of gangster Surender alias Cheeku early in the morning. Apart from the residence of gangster Surendra alias Cheeku in village Mohanpur, the NIA has also raided the residence of his relative living in Sector 1 of Narnaul. During this, the team of local police and CIA also remained together. Even before this, the NIA team had raided the residence of gangster Surendra alias Cheeku at Mohanpur.
In an earlier action, the NIA had interrogated all the gangsters arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). After this, good information about Pakistan-ISI and gangster nexus has come to the hands of NIA. On the basis of this, raids are being conducted once again on the hideouts of gangsters.
NIA is finding out how gangsters are being used to carry out anti-national activities. According to NIA sources, the agency has so far conducted three raids in the gangster-terror funding case. Even before this, at the end of last year, simultaneous raids were conducted in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR.
