Actress Sonakshi Sinha is the latest among Bollywood celebrities who felt star struck on meeting PM Narendra Modi at the inauguration of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital recently. She posted an image of her rendezvous with PM Narendra Modi along with fellow actors Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. She captioned the image “#Modified! @arjunk26, @Varun_dvn and I are starstruck by our honourable PM @narendramodi and how!” While Sonakshi was “Modified”, Sonam felt “Modivated”. Sonam shared her “fan-girl” moment with PM Modi by sharing her selfie on Twitter. Also, actress Shraddha Kapoor also shared her selfie with PM Modi, along with her Aashiqui 2 co-star Aditya Roy Kapur in the frame. Shraddha captioned the image: “This pic is going to be cherished 4evr! The most precious opportunity to meet our beloved PM yday!More power to him!”



Happy New Year Creating History

The makers of Happy New Year featuring the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, left no stone unturned in making the film, one of the most anticipated films of the year. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd and directed by Farah Khan, the movie continued to break records by having the biggest box office collection in India for the opening weekend. It has collected Rs. 108.86 crore on the opening weekend all India, with Rs. 104.10 crore in Hindi, Rs. 2.92 crore in Telugu dub and Rs. 1.84 crore in Tamil dub. It has become the highest opening weekend ranker in Indian films so far. Happy New Year also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.



Amitabh Remembers Sadashiv Amrapurkar

Social media has been abuzz with the sad news of Sadashiv Amrapurkar’s passing. In his long career, Sadashiv acted alongside many greats, including superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who remembered the late actor. Amitabh is currently in Kolkata to shoot for his upcoming film Piku. On learning about Sadashiv’s death, he tweeted, “Waking up in Kolkatato the sad news of the passing away of Sadasiv Amrapurkar .. a colleague and a gifted talent .. prayers !!” This was followed with another tweet that read, “When a colleague suddenly passes away there is a sudden vacuum, of times spent together, of acknowledgement of their work ..” Veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who was popular for his portrayal of a villain, passed away recently at a Mumbai hospital. The actor was battling lung infection and was in hospital for about two weeks.

Cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma have been in a relationship for a while now, and everyone is waiting for news of their nuptials. While rumours keep flying around, this time it seems things are taking shape as the parents of the two recently met. According to a leading daily, Kohli’s family made a visit to Anushka’s Mumbai penthouse just before the recent West Indies series. Excitement was indeed palpable when in August this year, there was gossip of the two tying the knot after a BCCI official made a statement about it. But it was later denied by the actress’ spokesperson. This time too, the actress did not confirm the news when asked, during the launch of her upcoming movie PK’s teaser. She was quoted, “This is not the platform to speak about it.”

The shooting of the Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan-Rajkummar Rao love triangle, Hamari Adhuri Kahaanis, which flagged off in Kolkata during the Durga Puja moved to Abu Dhabi. And according to a leading tabloid Siddharth Roy Kapur followed his wife to the desert country, to spend quality time with her. According to the report , Siddharth did not visit the sets but chose to wait for Vidya in the hotel till she wrapped up work. They did a lot of shopping in Abu Dhabi. The location has now shifted to South Africa and he continues to be by Vidya’s side. It is Vidya’s third film with Emraan after The Dirty Picture and Ghanchakkar. The film is expected to hit the theatres in June next year.
