Man urinated on woman’s blanket, this time the flight was coming from Paris to Delhi
A drunk man urinated on a woman in an Air India flight coming from Paris to Delhi. This is the second such incident in two days. Earlier, on 26 November 2022, a man urinated on a woman in an Air India flight. The news of this incident came to the fore on 4th January and today, on 6th January, this second news came.
According to a report in the media, the incident took place on 6 December in Air India flight 142. The accused urinated on the woman’s blanket in a drunken state. It is mentioned in the report that the accused was not listening to the cabin crew. After the incident, the pilot of the aircraft informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport about this.
Airport officials told news agency PTI that the plane landed in Delhi at around 9:40 am and the accused male was caught by the CISF as soon as he landed. Officials have confirmed that the accused was in an inebriated state. However, he was later allowed to go after a ‘mutual settlement’ between the two passengers and a ‘written apology’ from the accused. The victim woman had initially made a written complaint. But then she refused to register a case with the police.
Significantly, on November 26 also, a similar shameful act took place in Air India’s New York-Delhi flight. At that time also a man had urinated on a female co-traveller. Delhi Police had also registered an FIR on the complaint of the woman. She had also formed several teams to nab the accused. On the question of not taking action, Air India told DGCA that the dispute was resolved after a compromise was reached between the woman passenger and the accused. That’s why there was no complaint in this matter.
However, the accused has been identified in the earlier such case that came up. Last year, P Shankar Mishra, accused of urinating on a female passenger in an inebriated state on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi, is on the run from the police. It is reported that he is changing his location time and again to avoid arrest. Notablyr, Shankar Mishra’s family lives in Mumbai and his office is also there. Shankar Mishra has an office in Bangalore as well. Delhi Police has raided Mumbai and Bangalore, but neither has come to hand yet. Recently the identity of Mishra has been revealed. Following the complaint, a case was registered against him on Wednesday last. This incident happened on 26th November but Air India informed the police on 28th November. Air India has also submitted the report to DGCA on Thursday, in which the airline has clarified why even after more than a month of the incident, it has not registered a complaint .
