KIOCL Contributes to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
Karnataka . KIOCL Limited, a Mini-Ratna Category-I, profit making Central PSU, is located in the State of Karnataka. KIOCL being an eco friendly, socially responsible Corporate with a brand for quality and expertise has earnestly pursued excellence in the field of its core business of Iron Ore Mining, Beneficiation & Pelletization for the last four decades.
The Company has been contributing to the State exchequer in the form of Taxes, Cess and other payments. The Company has also been providing employment to local people directly and indirectly to a large extent.
KIOCL has been supporting several programmes in the areas of Education, Medical, and Community development activities. KIOCL has been contributing every year 2% of its profit towards Corporate Social Responsibility and has implemented them effectively in and around our plant premises at Mangalore as well as in other Districts.
Apart from the generous contribution made towards the CSR activities, KIOCL Ltd. team comprising of Shri Subba Rao, CMD, S K Gorai , Director ( Finance) ,Senior officials and union representatives met Chief Minister of Karnataka and handed over the cheque of Rs. 50,000,00.00 (Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) to the “Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Natural Calamities”.
NCL gets First Universal Simulator of Coal India Limited
Hitting newer milestones one after another in its continuous journey of excellence, Northern Coalfields Limited ran past yet another milestone setting a new benchmark in Indian coal industry. The company has installed a ‘Universal Equipment Simulator’ at its Central Excavation Training Institute (CETI) in company Headquarters, Singrauli. The first of its kind in CIL fold, the simulator will impart simulation training to Dragline, Shovel and Dozer Operators.
The operators will get hands-on training for maneuvering the heavy earthmovers through new Universal Simulator, which can simulate different Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM). Inasmuch as variety of mine and weather specific simulations it provides, the new simulator simulates rough terrain, bumps & jerks, slippery terrain, rain, sudden gush of windblown dust and this ilk during the training. The aim is to equip operators with the skills to maneuver the earthmovers in real-life settings of an opencast coal mine.
NTPC Awarded for Excellence in Power Generation
The Dun & Bradstreet Infra Award-2019 has been conferred on NTPC Limited for ‘Excellence in Power Generation.’ Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR) NTPC received the award from Arvind G. Sawant, Union Minister, Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and S.C. Garg, Secretary (Power), GOI in New Delhi on 22nd August, 2019. P.K. Sinha , CGM, NTPC-PMI was also present.
