Killing Cancer Intelligently

Updated: August 11, 2012 1:50 pm

A study, conducted by World Health Organisation and published in The Lancet Oncology in June 2012, predicted cancer incidents to rise by 78 per cent among Indian population and more than 75 per cent across the world by 2030. If the trends estimated in the study continue, an increase of all cancer cases from 12.7 million cases in 2008 to 22.2 million by 2030 is predicted. India, with 78 per cent rise, fares worse than the world average.

Now when it comes to us as an epidemic, the human race which has solved the serious mysteries of the world has never looked back and time and again proved its worth by solving the riddle in any stage. Here also researchers throughout the world are trying hard and many such experiments too showed light of hope in recent years.

In this regard Indian researchers too are trying hard to cope with the deadly disease. Kolkata-based researcher Dr Aradeep Chatterjee has been doing his research in this regard and achieved tremendous success which is know being globally acknowledged.

Psorinum Therapy can successfully treat different types of cancer, including the stage IV terminally ill patients where conventional cancer therapies fail to respond. The therapy is effective for different types of cancer including lung, oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, colon and rectum. The research details of this new therapy were reviewed by the world’s largest oncology organisation, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and published in the world’s top-rated cancer journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Journal of Thoracic Oncology.

The therapy was also selected by the leading oncology organisations in India, namely Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (ISMPO) and Indian Cooperative Oncology Network (ICON) for oral presentation on 22nd June 22, 2012 at the Best of ASCO meeting in Jaipur.

What is Psorinum Therapy?

According to the principal investigator Dr Aradeep Chatterjee, “Psorinum Therapy is a kind of active immunotherapeutic treatment—which means it directly stimulates our immune system to kill cancer cells by honing one or more specific tumor antigens. According to the scientific data, the key drug ‘Psorinum 6x’ activates different immune effector cells of our body called T cells and accessory cells like Natural Killer cells, Macrophages and Dendritic cells. These specialised cells can distinguish the cancer cells from the normal cells and can kill them immediately.”

Acknowledgement of Psorinum Therapy

According to the Journal of Clinical Oncology, in case of pancreatic cancer, 39 per cent patients who underwent Psorinum Therapy survived at least for five years. While, according to the National Cancer Institute (USA) in pancreatic cancer the overall five year survival rate in conventional cancer treatments is only about 4 per cent. According to the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, In case of lung cancer, 44 per cent patients who underwent Psorinum Therapy survived at least for five years. While, according to the National Cancer Institute (USA) in lung cancer the overall five year survival rate in conventional cancer treatments is about 16 per cent.

According to Dr Jaydip Biswas, Director, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), Kolkata, “The findings are exciting and the journals support the clinical efficacy of Psorinum 6x and confirm that it has no adverse side effects. A significant numbers of stage IV terminally ill cancer patients have recovered from almost no hope situations.”

Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide after cardiovascular diseases. Every year about 75 lakh people die all over the world because of cancer and in India, the graph is about 5 lakh people who loses their life due to cancer every year.

This is the reason for which cancer is seen as a symbol of terror and sorrow for human kind. Time and again it overpowers masses as thousands of people around the globe surrender before this deadly disease every year. So the fear and terror comes up naturally when one finds cancer word mentioned even in a hushed tone.

Case Studies

But the experience of Suniti Kumar Biswas and Puspita Paul has been one that changed their lives forever. There is a learning too: 81-year-old Suniti Kumar Biswas, diagnosed with Stage IV Male Breast Cancer, a rarest of rare cases in the year 2011, had tried everything possible but without much success until he had a chance meeting with Dr Aradeep Chatterjee who enrolled him to Psorinum Therapy. With a life span of a few months awarded to him by his earlier doctors, Biswas had almost given up hope. Significant tumor remission was observed within three months of starting the treatment. Now he is asymptomatic and leading a normal life. This is the magic cure of Psorinum Therapy.

Same is the case with Puspita Pal. In April 2011 the 16 yrs old was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer. She at first treated herself conventionally. However, it failed to work even as the disease progressed rapidly and the tumor spread up the entire lower abdomen with symptoms including severe abdominal pain, breathing trouble and vomiting. As the last resort, her family members brought her to Dr Chatterjee who started Psorinum Therapy from August 2011. Initially it was expected that her survival was only for about two weeks. Significant tumor remission was observed within four months of starting the treatment. Now Puspita is leading a normal life. This is all because of the right prescription under Dr Chatterjee’s therapy.

What unites these two stories of hope and endurance is the quest for life as also the cure promised under the Psorinum Therapy. This is where they are different from the rest of the cancer patients: they have a new confidence and quality of life made possible by Critical Cancer Management Research Centre and Clinic.

Pushpita and Suniti Kumar are not just the only two cases that reached Kolkata-based Critical Cancer Management Research Centre and Clinic. There are two more success stories of having beaten back cancer. They are Kalpana Bhakta and Sushanto Roy.

In August 2010, 46-year-old Kalpana Bhakta was diagnosed with Stage IV abdominal cancer. She at first underwent palliative surgery, however, it failed to work and the disease progressed. She did not undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy instead enrolled herself into the Psorinum Therapy. Psorinum Therapy was started from October 2010. At that time, her life expectancy was only about six months and symptoms included severe abdominal pain, vomiting and weakness. Complete tumor remission was observed within six months of starting the treatment. She is now asymptomatic and leading a normal life.

Same is the case with 72-year-old Sushanto Roy, who was diagnosed with Stage IV urinary bladder cancer on May 2011. His disease symptoms included bleeding with urine and difficulties while urinating. He also did not go for conventional cancer treatments; rather he enrolled himself into the Psorinum Therapy. Psorinum Therapy was started from June 2011. At that time it was expected that he’ll survive only about four months. Complete tumor remission was observed within eight months of starting the treatment. Now he is leading a normal life.

Critical Cancer Management Research Centre & Clinic (located near Lake Town of Kolkata) is now offering Psorinum Therpy as the novel approach of Indian cancer treatment as per the protocol of the Department of AYUSH and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and conducting follow-up research through collaboration with the renowned national and international medical research organisations.

Cost Factor

The cost of each cycle of this treatment is about Rs 4000. The duration of each cycle is about 10 weeks. A cancer patient needs approximate 12 cycles to complete the full course. According to Dr Aradeep Chatterjee: “Psorinum Therapy is an oral treatment and most of the cancer patients can continue it while staying home and therefore hospitalisation is less required.”

Recognition

Psorinum Therapy has achieved scientific- recognition from the world’s largest professional cancer organisation, called, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for the treatment of six types of cancer (Liver, gall bladder, pancreatic, stomach, lung and esophagus).                 In Denmark, the Danish Oncologists have taken up Psorinum Therapy as the first line treatment method to curb several types of cancer after the successful strategic collaboration between Dr Aradeep Chatterjee and Denmark’s International Cancer Clinic called Humlegarrden from January 31, 2011; Psorinum Therapy is used at this clinic to treat patients with cancer.

World’s No 1 cancer hospital ‘University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Centre’ located in Houston, Texas of USA has signed an agreement with Dr Aradeep Chatterjee to initiate a clinical trial on Psorinum Therapy in USA with an ultimate goal of bringing the therapy into their clinic to treat patients with cancer. The agreement signed between the MD Anderson Cancer Centre and Dr Chatterjee is an international recognition for an Indian itself.a
