Khalistani link and a murder mystery revealed in Delhi Police raid in Jahangirpuri area
New Delhi: The Delhi Police arrested two ‘suspicious’ people in Bhalswa Dairy area of Jahangirpuri in the national capital and recovered two hand grenades from their house. The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested two people identified as Jagjit Singh (29) and Naushad (56) on Thursday. They were produced in the Patiala House Court on Friday. After which both the arrested suspects were sent on police remand for 14 days.
After questioning the suspects, the police said they raided the rented house of the criminals at Shraddhanand Colony in Bhalswa Dairy police station area under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on Friday. In which they found hand grenades during the raid. Along with this, the police have also recovered three pistols and 22 live cartridges from the accused. This incident which happened in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area left everyone stunned. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also visited the house and collected blood samples.
According to sources, it is alleged that the suspects killed a person at home and shared the video of the murder with their handler. Police said they are in the process of ascertaining who was killed.
Police shared information about the suspects
Further, the Delhi Police said that it has information that Jagjit Singh has links with Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dal. The city police said that he is also a member of the notorious Bambiha gang and is receiving instructions from anti-national elements based abroad. He is also a parole jumper in a murder case in Uttarakhand.
The police also added that Naushad is also linked to Harkat-ul-Ansar, a terrorist group based in Pakistan and primarily operating in Jammu and Kashmir. He has served life imprisonment in two cases of murder and 10 years in one case under the Explosives Act.
Police quoted their neighbors as saying that they bought a new refrigerator and returned it after a week. When asked why they were returning the refrigerator, they said it was not working properly.
Police suspect that they killed the man, cut the body and kept it in a refrigerator., Further investigation is underway.
