Kanpur Dehat: Mother-daughter burnt alive, the matter is catching on

Serious allegations are being leveled against the Kanpur Dehat administration. The administration, which had gone to vacate the illegal encroachment, is accused of setting fire to the hut of a family encroaching on the illegal land. The mother and daughter present in that hut were burnt alive, after which they died. This incident took place in Madauli village located in Kanpur Dehat. Now the reaction of National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party Shivpal Singh Yadav has come on this incident.

Shivpal Yadav said, “The mother-daughter set themselves on fire in front of the administration that came to remove the encroachment in Kanpur and the police kept watching the spectacle. Why is the administration losing its senses in the enthusiasm of bulldozers and removal of encroachments? Is ‘women empowerment’ and the talk of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ only on paper?”

This incident in Kanpur Dehat has shocked everyone. On Tuesday, efforts are on by the higher officials to convince the family members. The relatives are not allowing the dead body to be raised. The family is adamant on the demand of five crores, government job and accommodation for both the sons. SDM Gyaneshwar Prasad has been suspended in the Kanpur Dehat incident.

The relatives are adamant on the demand of calling Chief Minister Yogi. There is talk of the Chief Secretary’s arrival. Divisional Commissioner and ADG have also reached the spot. Since Monday night, the officers have been trying to persuade the family members. A delegation will arrive under the leadership of Samajwadi Party chief whip Manoj Pandey.

A Minister of State Pratibha Shukla and former MP Anil Shukla Warsi reached the spot after getting the news of the death of mother-daughter. Both consoled the grieving family. Along with taking information about the incident, they assured all possible help. The Minister of State has also told the victim’s family about fair investigation of the matter and providing government help. According to sources, the Minister of State had reached the spot on the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Apart from this, many other leaders had come to console the victim’s family.
