J&K: 2 terrorists killed in an encounter 

In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chinigam area of Kulgam district   early this morning. Additional Superintendent of Police Kulgam said that two bodies of terrorists are lying near the site as the encounter is still on.

The encounter broke out after a joint team of J&K Police, Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Chinigam village following the intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter that killed the two terrorists.
