Jammu and Kashmir: This decision of the Centre will give sleepless nights to terrorists
An additional 18 companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be sent to Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the recent two terror attacks in Rajouri district in which civilians were killed. 18 companies of CRPF – around 1,800 personnel – will be sent to the Jammu region for deployment mainly in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
This means that about 1800 additional CRPF personnel will be deployed in Jammu and Kashmir, who will teach a lesson to the terrorists and eliminate terrorism from the root. This information has been revealed by quoting the sources. These 1800 jawans will be mainly deployed in districts like Rajouri and Poonch. More terrorist incidents come to the fore here. According to the inputs received, 8 companies of CRPF will soon be deployed from nearby places in Jammu and Kashmir while 10 companies of CRPF are being sent from Delhi.
As per inputs, eight companies of CRPF will soon be deployed from nearby places of deployment in J&K while 10 companies of CRPF are being sent from Delhi. The move follows a recent order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs amid intelligence inputs about terror strikes in the Jammu region, the source said.
Six people, including two children, were killed and several others injured in two separate terror attacks in Upper Dangri village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
In the latest terror attack, two children were killed and several others injured after a suspected IED blast in Rajouri’s Upper Dangri village on Monday morning. ADGP Mukesh Singh alerted people as another suspected IED was spotted near Upper Dangri village, about eight km from Rajouri town.
Officials said the explosion occurred near the house where four civilians were killed and several others were injured in a shootout on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, Army and CRPF have launched a massive search operation to nab the two “armed men” behind the attack in Upper Dangri village. LG, Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to the next of kin of those killed in the firing incident.
The LG said in a statement, “An ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and a government job will be given to the next of kin of each civilian martyred in the dastardly attack. Rs 1 lakh will be given to the seriously injured.”
