Updated: July 14, 2016 12:23 pm

After lending support to rehabilitation work in flood-hit Chennai, Jacqueline Fernandez has featured in a remake of former British band Spice Girls’ song, “Wannabe”, for Global Goals campaign, which aims to fight poverty, climate change and address inequalities, over the next 15 years.  Convened by Project Everyone, the Global Gains campaign film, titled What I Really Really Want, was previewed on June 20 at the Cannes Lions International Film Festival and is an updated version of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” music video.  Talking about it, Jacqueline said in a statement: “We need to create a community where girls feel strong, safe and supported and have equal access to education, technology, health and sanitation. It is for people to recognise the potential of girls when they are allowed to study instead of doing household chores.”  Directed by MJ Delaney and produced by Moxie Pictures, the film features actors, singers and dancers from India, South Africa, Nigeria, Britain and the US. The film and campaign call on people to share a picture of  What I Really Really Want for girls and women and the visual response from around the world will then be presented to world leaders at the UN General Assembly in September.
