Micromax’s newly-launched Canvas Turbo A250 has brought almost all the technology within your reach. But is it the best Micromax can offer?

Micromax’s newly-launched Canvas Turbo is the first phone of the company with full HD. The Indian handset-maker has learnt from the previous mistakes of its Canvas 4 and has tried to put its best in the smartphone, whether it be the powerful hardware configuration or its high-level marketing strategy. With the featuring of Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, Micromax has played its ace card in order to be among the top A-list players. The phone is fine-tuned with latest technology and lavish design plus a low price so that the user can get the best with reasonable rates. It includes a feature called ifloat that serves as a quick launcher for calls, messages, browser, settings, etc, from any screen. Canvas Turbo also supports popup video, popup browser and multi-video view.

HARDWARE CONFIGURATION

Talking about the processor, Canvas Turbo is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor topped with 2GB RAM to provide a smooth experience for the users. Micromax has also introduced PowerVR graphics processor to enhance gaming experience. The phone runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. The phone is backed by 16GB internal storage with no expandable card slot.

DISPLAY, DESIGN AND CAMERA

The real game changer in terms of design is the new aluminium back cover, which gives a classy look with its 5-inch full HD display that shows vibrant colours with excellent viewing angles. Canvas Turbo is stuffed with 13 megapixel rear camera, which offers different modes such as Normal, HDR, Smile detection, Panorama and Scene detection shot modes. It also offers a burst mode, letting users click up to 99 shots at once, in addition to GIF Animation, 3D Panorama and Remove Object modes. The phone is also comprised with 5-megapixel front facing camera.

CONNECTIVITY AND BATTERY

Micromax Canvas Turbo comes with 2,000mAh battery, which provides a standby time of 105 hours and talk time estimated up to seven hours. The phone can be connected to the pen drive or other expandable memory through OTG cable.

FINAL VERDICT

Overall, we can see a great improvement from the Canvas 4 but there is still more to go.
