India’s vaccination coverage crosses 106 crore 31 lakh mark

More than 106 crore 31 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 12 lakh 77 thousand doses were administered yesterday.

India reported more than 12 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 58 thousand 817 and it is the lowest in 248 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.46 per cent, the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.20 per cent. Over 12 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 36 lakh 68 thousand 560.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.17 per cent which is less than two per cent for the last 38 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.42 per cent which is less than two per cent for last 28 days.

The number of deaths due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 58 thousand 437. In the last 24 hours, 251 deaths were reported.
Health Ministry said, over 60 crore 92 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far. Over 8 lakh 81 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
