India’s Covid vaccination coverage crosses 93.99 crore mark
More than 93.99 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 79.12 lakh doses were administered on Friday.
India reported more than 19 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at two lakh 36 thousand 643 and it is the lowest in 206 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.70 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 97.98 per cent, highest since March last year. Over 23 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 32 lakh 48 thousand 291.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.62 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 106 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.56 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 40 days.
The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 50 thousand 375. In all, 248 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Over 58 crore 13 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far.
