India’s Covid vaccination coverage crosses 111.40 crore mark

More than 111.40 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 58 lakh 42 thousand doses were administered yesterday.

India reported over 11 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 36 thousand 308 which is lowest in 274 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.40 per cent, the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.26 per cent and it is highest since March last year. Over 12 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 38 lakh 26 thousand 483.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.05 per cent which is less than two per cent for the last 50 days. Daily positivity rate is at 0.94 per cent which is less than two per cent for last 40 days.

The number of deaths due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 63 thousand 245. In the last 24 hours, 555 deaths were reported.
Health Ministry said, over 62 crore 23 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far.
