IndianOil commissions Octamax Unit at Mathura Refinery
Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) has once again demonstrated its competence in successful implementation of state-of-the-art refining technologies developed by its own R&D Centre with the timely commissioning of the Octamax Unit at its Mathura Refinery.
The breakthrough technology developed by IndianOil’s R&D Centre converts C-4 streams from Catalytic Cracker and/or Naphtha Cracker units to high-octane gasoline (petrol) blending stream, thereby enabling compliance with stringent fuel quality norms.
The foundation stone of the Octamax Unit at Mathura Refinery was laid by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, on 6th March, 2016. The project has been completed much ahead of the targeted schedule and without any cost overrun.
