After the skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, the US has termed it as a provocative action by Beijing. US State Department spokesman Ned Price said on the Tawang clash along the India-China border, that India is a strategic partner of America. We are in constant touch with India in Delhi and Washington. America opposes any attempt to unilaterally change the border.

America said that it is with India. China takes provocative action. America will always be with its friendly countries. The White House said on Tuesday that the Biden administration is happy that both India and China disengaged soon after the skirmish in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector.

During the press conference, White House Media Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the US is closely monitoring the situation of tension between the two countries. She also said that the US encourages both sides (India and China) to use existing bilateral channels to discuss the disputed borders.

Along with this, the Pentagon said in a press conference on Tuesday that the US Defense Department is constantly monitoring the developments along the LAC on the India-China border. Pentagon press secretary Pat Ryder said, “The US has noticed that China is mobilizing troops and building military infrastructure in the area of the LAC. The United States fully supports India’s ongoing efforts to de-escalate the situation.”

Pat Ryder said that we will stick to our commitment to ensure the security of our allies. We fully support India’s effort to reduce tensions. Along with this, he also said that the world knows how dictatorially China is building the so-called military infrastructure by gathering its forces on the border. China is trying to assert itself and forcibly intervene in areas dictated by US allies and our partners in the Indo-Pacific.

At the same time, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has also called for reducing the tension on the India-China border after a clash between the soldiers of the two countries in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh.
