India administers more than 110 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses, says Health Ministry

More than 110 crores 23 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 52 lakh 69 thousand doses were administered yesterday.

India reported more than 13 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 38 thousand 556 which is lowest in 266 days. Active cases account for less than one percent of total cases and it is currently at 0.40 percent, the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.25 percent and it is the highest since March last year. Over 13 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crores 38 lakh 925.

The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.18 percent which is less than two percent for the last 48 days. The daily positivity rate is at 1.10 percent which is less than two percent for the last 38 days.

The number of deaths due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 61 thousand 849. In the last 24 hours, 460 deaths were reported.

Health Ministry said over 61 crores 99 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far. Over 11 lakh 89 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
