Harvard Business School Education Programs

Harvard Business School (HBS) and the HBS India Research Center (IRC) has announced details of three executive education programs to be offered in India in 2010, including Building a Global Enterprise in India, Develop India Strategies for Growth and Managing and Transforming Professional Service Firms, a release said. The programs are for senior executives of Indian companies and multinational companies operating in India, as well as managers and investors interested in expanding operations to India. The 2010 program portfolio focuses on bringing the best management practices and strategies for businesses operating in India to senior executives. The programs replicate the world-renowned HBS learning experience with classes taught by members of the School’s senior faculty using the HBS case method, which requires participants to make decisions about real business situations.

India is expected to retain its leadership position in global sourcing supply of IT-BPO by 2020 and could touch the market at $ 285 billion by then, growing at a CAGR of 15 per cent, a report released by KPMG and Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO). The report Asia-Oceania Vision 2020: Enabling IT leadership through collaboration revealed that India, which is the current market leader in global sourcing supply serves around 51 per cent of the overall global sourcing and has achieved impressive growth rates over the past decade. NASSCOM in its latest announcement said that Indian IT-BPO market stands at $ 64 billion as on 2009, a company release said.

Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has signed a MoU with Bank of India for a strategic alliance to distribute and market Mutual Fund products through branches of Bank of India, said a company release. While Bank of India has an extensive branch network and tremendous reach, Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has completed 15 years of wealth creation. The fund house offers innovative investment solutions across asset classes, which have been well recognized for their performance, the company release added.
