Ganga Vilas Cruise: Journey of 27 rivers in 52 days

River cruise MV Ganga Vilas, which is going on a long journey, was today flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing. It will cover a distance of about 3200 km and reach Dibrugarh in 52 days. People traveling in this cruise will get five star facilities. Let us know through which routes the journey of Ganga Vilas will pass from Kashi to Dibrugarh. The route of the yatra will be from Buxar to Patna, Munger and Sultanpur of Bhagalpur via Varanasi and Ghazipur, from Bengal to Dibrugarh via Bangladesh. During this, it will have stoppages at about 50 places in different cities.

Here is a look at the complete route of the cruise. The cruise will pass through Varanasi (UP), Ghazipur, Buxar (Bihar), Patna, Simaria, Munger, Sahibganj (Jharkhand), Farakka (West Bengal), Kolkata, Dhaka (Bangladesh), Guwahati (Assam) and Dibrugarh (Assam) . The cruise will travel 3,200 km from Ganga Vilas via Varanasi to Dibrugarh (Bogibeel) via Bangladesh. In a journey of 52 days, the cruise will pass through 27 river systems of India and Bangladesh and stop at more than 50 heritage sites including several national parks and sanctuaries of the country.

The cruise has open space, a balcony, a 40 seater restaurant room and a study room. There is an air-conditioned entertainment room, a salon with spa facilities and three sundecks. There are arrangements for music, library and cultural programs so that the journey is not boring. If we talk about the fare, then the per passenger cost of traveling from Banaras to Dibrugarh is Rs 13 lakh. And the package for a 12-day journey from Kolkata to Banaras is Rs 4 lakh 37 thousand. Besides this, the tent city that the Prime Minister is inaugurating today is no less in terms of facilities. In this, 600 Swiss cottages with facilities like luxury hotels have been built. The tents are decorated with Banarasi saree designs, beautiful carpets from Bhadohi, silk and brocade products from Kashi, wooden toys, pink meenakari, black pottery etc. Spa center, meditation center, floating bath pool, conference hall, gaming zone, library and art gallery etc. have been arranged for the tourists in these cottages. Tourists will start staying in the tent city from Makar Sankranti (January 15).
