Fury Turns Into Fauzi

Updated: November 8, 2014 2:33 pm

Brad Pitt’s Fury, the India release of which has been pushed ahead by two weeks to avoid proximity with Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali offering Happy New Year, will be dubbed in Hindi as Fauzi—inspired by the title of the King Khan’s 1988 TV show. Since the movie features a Hollywood star as big as Brad Pitt, and that too in the role of an army sergeant, the film’s distributors in India are also dubbing it in Hindi. The decision to rename Fury as Fauzi cropped up as a tribute to Shah Rukh, who played an army officer in his TV show of the same name, which was among his initial works in Indian showbiz. A war drama, Fury will splash across Indian screens, two weeks after its international release. The decision was taken keeping in mind the Diwali festivities and the release of Shah Rukh’s Happy New Year. The film also stars Shia Labeouf, and its trailer has received rave reviews internationally.

Katrina In Madame Tussauds

After a host of Bollywood starlets such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene, it’s now Katrina Kaif’s turn to enter the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. If the buzz is to be believed, Bollywood’s Chikni Chameli has been invited by the museum authorities to install a wax statue of her at their London centre. Katrina has reportedly received a detailed mail from the authorities about the same and the actress has also sent a prompt reply to them. However, as of now there is no official confirmation either from the actress or from the museum authorities. The reports suggest that talks between the two are underway, and a decision will reportedly be taken next week. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was the first Bollywood star to make his presence felt at the house of wax in 2000. Interestingly, former beauty queen and Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first female Bollywood actor to make it to the museum.
