Economic activities started in Andaman & Nicobar Islands

The Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Admiral D K Joshi in his message stated that the third phase of lockdown is commencing  from today. Economic and other activities are going to start in Green Zones with ‘Do Gaz ki Doori’ and facilities are also given in areas other than containment zones as well. He added that Despite  decline in  the number of positive COVID cases in the island, it is not the time to be complacent because this will lead to people’s movement and enhance their social contact. Further, he informed that to contain the spread of COVID-19 again in the islands, proper testing and effective quarantine of all the stranded persons returning to mainland is mandatory. He ensured adequate stock of food grains and LPG are available in the islands.
