Delhi’s LG VK Saxena has given a big blow to the Aam Aadmi Party. LG has ordered the Chief Secretary to recover Rs 97 crore from AAP. This recovery order has been given under the allegation of publishing political advertisements as government advertisements in violation of the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court.

In the information given by the LG office, it has been said that the Chief Secretary has been asked to implement the order given by the Supreme Court and to recover Rs 97,14,69,137 from the Aam Aadmi Party. On behalf of the LG office, it has been said that the government funds were used for the benefit of the political party. This is also violation of the Supreme Court and High Court orders

Rs 42,26,81,265 has been released from DIP, while Rs 54,87,87,872 is pending. Even on March 20, 2017, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party was asked to deposit Rs 42,26,81,265 crore in the government treasury.

54,87,87,872 dues to agencies/publications were ordered to be paid within 30 days. Even after lapse of 5 years and 8 months, the order of DIP has not been followed. It has been said from the LG office that it is very serious that public money has not been deposited in the government treasury.

This order has been given by the LG at a time when the Raj Bhavan is at loggerheads with the Kejriwal government on many issues. LG has ordered several investigations against the Kejriwal government. In retaliation, AAP leaders also attacked LG. There were allegations of corruption. In such a situation, once again the infighting between the two sides can intensify.
