COVID Vaccination Coverage surpasses 41 crore 52 lakh in country
India’s cumulative COVID Vaccination Coverage has surpassed 41 crore 52 lakh. Union Health Ministry said, more than 31 lakh 79 thousand Vaccine doses were administered yesterday. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of last month. More than 15 lakh vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over one lakh 36 thousand doses given as second dose in the age group 18 to 44 years yesterday.
Cumulatively, over 12 crore 92 lakh persons in the age group 18 to 44 years across States and Union Territories have received their first dose and more than 52 lakh have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive. Three States namely Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than one crore cumulative doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group 18 to 44 years.
