Can Delhi Govt DIP Secy seal AAP office?

Updated: January 12, 2023 4:54 pm

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a recovery notice of ₹164 crore. The Directorate of Information and Publicity (DIP) Secretary of Delhi Government has sent this recovery notice. Along with this, it has been asked to deposit the money within 10 days.

If ₹164 crore is not paid in 10 days, then the AAP office can be sealed as the property of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In the order of the Lieutenant Governor, under which the DIP has issued the recovery notice, it was said to attach the property along with legal action.

First on December 19, the LG had ordered the Chief Secretary to take action in this matter. It was said in that order that if the party does not pay money within the stipulated time, then the property of the party can also be attached along with legal action. The Chief Secretary was also ordered by the LG to inform the Election Commission about this entire matter.

Last month, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, alleging political propaganda in the guise of government advertisements, directed the Chief Secretary of Delhi to recover from the Aam Aadmi Party the expenditure incurred on advertisements in 2015-2016. Following the instructions of the Lieutenant Governor, the Directorate of Information and Publicity of Delhi Government has issued this notice.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari said that after Nadir Shah, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is looting Delhi with its web of illusions. When the recovery of Rs 164 crore came, Manish Sisodia got upset.

Manoj Tiwari said that the faces of the party’s leaders were shone in the campaign. The money that was meant for the welfare of the poor was used to shine the faces of leaders . In 2017, an attempt was made to get a stay from the High Court on the publicity scam, but the court did not grant the stay. Aam Aadmi Party’s bank accounts should be seized immediately. The people of Delhi want that the accounts of the Aam Aadmi Party and the leaders whose face has been tarnished by the campaign scam should also be frozen. All this money has been spent in other states. The taxpayer of Delhi wants that Arvind Kejriwal should answer on the matter. All the money should be recovered without any discrimination, said Tiwari.
