Big B in Kabali!

Rajinikanth’s Kabali opened to packed theatres recently and the film’s release caused a frenzy among the superstar’s fans. But there were reports doing the rounds that the version dubbed in Hindi didn’t do too well. Now rumour has it that megastar Amitabh Bachchan might be doing a full-fledged Hindi remake of Kabali.

A report in Deccan Chronicle quoted a source, who is attached to the project saying, “The reason Rajini’s Tamil films don’t do well when dubbed in Hindi is because they are very culture-specific. Kabali is set in the Tamil community in Malaysia. The flavour, culture and dialogues are all particular to the Tamil community.” Reportedly, for the Hindi version, the makers wanted somebody who would be able to do justice to Rajini’s stature and who better than Big B!.
