Ash-Sush To Act Together

Ever since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has given birth to daughter Aaradhya, news of her comeback on silver screen has been doing rounds in the media. It is now learnt that she has shown interest in adman Prahlad Kakkad’s directorial debut Happy Anniversary, where she will be seen starring opposite her husband Abhishek Bachchan. The film will be produced by Gaurang Doshi and will deal with marital issues. It will be shot largely in South Africa. Supposedly, Kakkad has also approached Sushmita Sen to play a supporting role in the film. Buzz is that, she has agreed to do the film. The film titled Happy Anniversary will see Aishwarya’s character starting off as a 21-year old and the story unfolds over the next eight years. The film will later also see her pregnant with twins. It will be interesting to see one time rivals to be paired together for the first time.

History On Benegal’s Mind

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, veteran director Shyam Benegal will be directing a docu-feature on the history of Punjab. After narrating how the Indian Constitution was drafted in his 10-part series called Samvidhaan, veteran director Shyam Benegal is gearing up for another lesson in history. Punjab government has commissioned him to make a 90-minute film on the turbulent history of the northern state. The film is not being made for commercial reasons. Instead, the Punjab government is working at building Jalandhar a cultural centre, which will boast of art installations, theatre work and will also screen the Benegal film as an added attraction. The ambitious project will kick off only in the latter-half of the year when the logistics will be in place. The film, casting of which is yet to be finalised, will have a lot of actors playing the part of historical figures whose costumes will be designed by Benegal’s daughter Pia. The film will initially be screened at the cultural centres and later be made accessible on other popular platforms like the internet and television.

Aditya And Shraddha Still An Item

Both Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor are rumoured to be dating since the date they met on the sets of Aashiqui 2, even though the two have never admitted to their relationship publicly. Recent buzz which was doing the rounds in the film circuit was that sparks were flying between Aditya and Parineeti Chopra on the sets of an upcoming movie. But it is now learnt that Aditya is still in love with Shraddha and stories of his and Parineeti being a new couple in Bollywood, are nothing but a promotional ploy. Aditya’s sister-in-law Vidya Balan Roy Kapoor and Shraddha has reportedly become good friends and enjoy each other’s company. It seems that both Aditya and Shraddha are still together.

Jacquelline Enjoyed In Delhi

Sri Lankan beauty and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who has wrapped up shooting the Delhi schedule of her upcoming film Kick with Salman Khan, had a lot of fun while filming in the capital as she got to see many places that she had never seen before.

Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kick, the Hindi remake of the 2009 Telugu hit of the same name that featured Telugu superstar Ravi Teja, has been extensively shot in Delhi. Slated to release in July this year, it also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda in key roles.
