Another milestone strong modi-yogi duo

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has performed brilliantly in the just-concluded elections in five states. The party has returned with a thumping majority for the second time in a row in Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state in terms of population. In Goa, BJP is going to stake claim to form the government for the third time in a row. If we talk about Uttarakhand, since the formation of the state, this is the first time that the same party has been successful in winning elections for the second time in a row. The BJP’s magic has also worked in Manipur, where it has managed to win 32 out of 60 seats. With the return of the Bharatiya Janata Party in four states, it clearly shows that Narendra Modi’s magic has again worked. It has been the continuous endeavour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfil the aspirations of the common, which resulted in people reposing their faith in the BJP and its core formula of strengthening good governance in recently held assembly elections. In UP, the Modi-Yogi face could attract the people of UP and the rhetoric of caste factor could not work, except earlier in West Bengal and now in Punjab. The common man has a strong support for the Modi factor. In the BJP, there is a natural growth of leadership to reach at the top post. If one sees the party presidents from the beginning, one finds that they are from different corners of the country and all the national presidents are elected from a common background. Unlike the Congress, dynasty politics takes a back bench in the BJP. After Yogi wins with a thumping majority in UP, there is a rumour in the political circles about his big responsibility at the Centre, maybe after Modi. The BJP’s win will help the party in coming assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh too.

The way Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath demonstrated his political acumen, social experience, leadership skills, readiness and strong will to take decisions during the Corona crisis, he became a symbol of light in the dark. Not only did law and order improve during his regime, but also the state witnessed serious attention of the government to many important sectors like agriculture, industry, power, health, education and infrastructure. When the Yogi government first time took over, the state was in total disarray and the administration was in a complete mess due to the faulty policies of the previous governments, but Yogi scripted new chapters in the history of the state so as to put it on the upward growth trajectory. An unblemished saint, well educated, having good political experience as an active parliamentarian, Yogi is a strong leader. Despite having no RSS background, he rose from the grassroots level merely on the basis of his capability and compatibility.  Hence, it would be apt to say that during the Corona crisis, Yogi Adityanath assumed the image of being a trusted leader, real development man, having sensitive leadership qualities, and endeavoured to give Uttar Pradesh a new identity with all his decisions. No surprise, Uttar Pradesh would soon be able to face every situation. If all goes well, there will be ample employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh in the coming years. Every person will get work, based on his ability and skill, and migration from the state will come to a stop. Having said this, it is noteworthy that Yogi has to be further observant in taking decisions–what to do and what not to do. If he becomes successful in making Uttar Pradesh an example for other states to emulate, then he would be another national leader in making to perform a bigger role.
