Akki Teams Up With KJO
Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar joined hands for a film titled Warrior which features Akshay and KJo’s discovery Sidharth Malhotra. The film will be directed by Agneepath director Karan Malhotra. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror KJo and Akshay are indeed venturing into a co-production, but it will be helmed by Dharma production’s Punit Malhotra, director of I Hate Luv Stories, Gori Tere Pyar Mein. The film will be a remake of a South film. The script of the first half of the film is ready and sitting for the next half will be held soon.
Sakshi In 67 Days
Sakshi Chaudhary will essay the role of Priyanka Chopra in the movie 67 days, the movie is based on Priyanka Chopra’s ex-manager Prakash Jaju’s experience. Sakshi Chaudhary is to go under rigorous workshops to deliver the role of the leading actress of Bollywood. She is very closely studying Priyanka’s movies. Aseem Merchant, who is making 67 Days, wants Sakshi to adopt Priyanka’s body language and mannerisms. Priyanka tends to talk very rapidly, letting the sentences words spill out in a tumble. Sakshi would be speaking like that. Priyanka’s early songs and dances from Andaaz and Aetraaz will also be recreated in this movie. Sakshi haas been signed by producer Feroze Nadiawala for a 3 films deal and will be seen opposite John Abraham in the next outing of Hera Pheri series.
Pack-Up For Kill Dill
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and National Award winning actress Parineeti Chopra have wrapped up shooting for their upcoming film Kill Dil. It is an upcoming romantic action film directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film features Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Govinda, Rani Mukerji and Ali Zafar in the lead roles. Govinda will be seen playing a negative role in the film. Set to release on November 14, it is a film about the tricks the heart plays on an unsuspecting victim of love as described by the director of the film, Shaad Ali. Leading pair of the film took to Twitter to announce the wrap up of the shooting. They were recently seen in Lavasa, close to Mumbai on the sets of Yash Raj films’ to shoot Kill Dil.
Fictitious To Be Reality
While the makers of the ABCD sequel are trying to keep the dance drama’s plot under wraps, Mumbai Mirror has reported that the Remo D’Souza directed movie is based on the true story of Vasai-based dance troupe, The Fictitious Group.
The film recreates their journey from being an amateur team of two to becoming a troupe with local street presence and entering the world hip-hop championship finals in Las Vegas in 2012—a first for any Indian dance group. Varun Dhawan, who plays the lead in the film, will be essaying the character of Suresh Mukund, who along with partner Vernon Monteiro founded the group in early 2000s.
The actor, has already started training with Suresh, who is teaching him various dance forms like B-Boying, Old House Hip-Hop and Locking and Popping.
The idea of making a film on The Fictitious Group occurred to Remo while he was filming the first instalment of ABCD.
