Air India flights with over 240 passengers from Ukraine lands at Delhi airport
An Air India flight from Kiev landed at Indira Gandhi International airport in the national capital last night in full capacity. Air India will operate two more special flights between India and Ukraine on 24th and 26th of this month. Air India has never operated any commercial flights to Ukraine before this.
However, Air India has taken the initiative to bring back Indian citizens in Ukraine. Some other Indian operators are also expected to start their flight services depending on the demand from Ukraine.
Indian Embassy in Ukraine said, in view of continued high-level tensions and uncertainties of the current situation, additional flights are also being organised.
The Embassy in an advisory said, four flights will leave Kyiv for Delhi on 25th and 27th of this month and 6th March. It said, at present Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Qatar Airways etc are also operating their routine flights from Ukraine to India. Bookings for these airlines can be done through airline offices, websites, call centres and authorised travel agents.
