An IED blast took place on Monday morning in Dangri village of Rajouri district in Jammu. Two girls died in this. 4 are injured. The blast took place in one of the three houses where the terrorists fired on Sunday evening. In this terrorist attack, 4 Hindus lost their lives and 7 were injured.

ADGP Mukesh Singh said that the police have cordoned off the entire area. NIA team will also investigate here. An IED was found, it has been removed from the area. Search operation is going on. It is suspected that the terrorists might have planted the IED in the house after the firing on Sunday evening.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Dangri village on Monday. He said that an assistance of Rs 10 lakh each would be given to the families of the victims. Along with this, every member of these families will also be given a job.

Demonstration was being held against the killing of Hindus in Dangri. Shortly after it was over, there was an explosion in a house and chaos ensued. After this the police sealed the entire area. People said that terrorists came on Sunday evening and pulled people out of their homes. They were looking at everyone’s Aadhaar card. After this they started firing indiscriminately. Satish Kumar (45), Pritam Lal (56), Shivpal (32) were killed in the attack. The name of the fourth deceased has not been revealed yet.

It is noteworthy that there were 93 encounters of security forces with terrorists in Kashmir in the year 2022, in which 172 terrorists were killed. Of these, 42 were foreigners. At the same time, terrorists killed 29 civilians that year, out of which 6 were Hindus including 3 Kashmiri Pandits. Kashmir’s ADGP Vijay Kumar gave this information on Friday.

He said that the maximum number of 108 terrorists killed were from Lashkar-e-Taiba and its affiliated organization the Resistance Front.

Meanwhile, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah condemned the terrorist attack. He tweeted – I condemn this targeted attack in Rajouri district and express my condolences to the families of the deceased. He tweeted even after the IED blast. It is written in this – this apparent negligence on the part of the security forces should be investigated. Lessons learned in the past have taught us not to hand over the sites of encounters/attacks to locals without thoroughly searching them. Why was this SOP not followed in Rajouri?
