RINL undertakes CDM project

United Nation Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC), Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) executive Board has issued 70516 Certified Emission Reduction (CER)/ carbon credits to RINL for their clean development project titled “Power generation from cooling of coke in coke oven battery-4”.

RINL is a pioneer in installing state-of-the-art clean technologies in design stage as well as expansion/modernization stage. These projects are environment friendly and will significantly reduce GHG emission. This is a unique achievement by RINL towards mitigation of climate change. This is in recognition of RINL efforts towards adoption of green technologies. RINL CMD Mr P Madhusudan congratulated the CDM team for the achievement and stressed the importance for leveraging clean technologies adopted at RINL.
