New In-Line Baggage Screening System commissioned at AAI`s Srinagar Airport

In order to strengthen the security system and enhance passenger convenience, a new In-Line Baggage Screening System was inaugurated on 20th September, 20 at AAI’s Srinagar International Airport. B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir inaugurated the new facility in presence of Santosh Dhoke, Airport Director Srinagar International Airport, District Authorities and officials of CISF, Airlines, AAICLAS& J&K Police.

In-Line Baggage Screening System (ILBS) with CTX 9800 DSI (Computed Tomography) scanners has been commissioned the cost of Rs. 12.67 crore. This In- Line hold baggage system (HBS) is integrated with airport Baggage Handling System (BHS) to provide a complete hold baggage processing and screening system.
