Telangana gets 3,230 cr from HUDCO in current year
The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has sanctioned loans to the tune of 3,230 crore during the current financial year so far for the Telangana State towards various developmental schemes, including purchase of buses by TS Road Transport Corporation, land acquisition for establishment of National Investment and Manufacturing Zone and weaker section housing programmes. This forms part of the 31,168 crore projects sanctioned to the State by the Central public sector undertaking for infrastructure upgradation, including the social and economic infrastructure and shelter for poor. In addition, HUDCO is extending its support to two flagship programmes of the Government Mission Bhagiratha and double bedroom housing scheme. The HUDCO would provide 4,760 crore to Mission Bhagiratha and another 3,344 crore for two bedroom housing programme in addition to sanction of over `700 crore for pharmacity project, corporation chairman M. Ravi Kanth said.
