Split in the Ruling Family

Updated: July 14, 2016 12:41 pm

In his old age, Mulayam Singh Yadav is facing feud in the family. Brothers Shiv Pal Yadav and   Ram Gopal Yadav are daggers drawn and if their differences continue until the assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, early next year, the Samajwadi Party (SP) will suffer badly.

The two brothers are quite capable of turning Jaichands and causing  damage to their respective candidates. The loser will be their nephew Akhilesh.

At a recent function, presided by Akhilesh to felicitate Ram Gopal, Shiv Pal reached the venue and despite requests to him to come up to sit on the dais, he sat with Amar Singh.

But after repeated pleas from Akhilesh, Shivpal Yadav relented and came up the dias but sat in the back row. He refused to sit in the first row. He obviously did not want to be sitting along Ram Gopal. If the differences are so serious, God saves SP.
